Focus Magazine

FOCUS – Source for ASGC News and Sharing of Creative Ideas

FOCUS is the Newsletter of the Association of Sri Lankan Graduates of Canada (ASGC). It is a quarterly publication, focusing on providing the membership and the public of details of planned events and activities. Included in such publications, which are released usually on the occasion of an event like a seminar or workshop, are articles (from members) and information, in most cases, relevant to such events or programs. The annual issue of FOCUS is a well-bound magazine that is released on the occasion of the Annual Dinner and, as far as possible, the AGM. The FOCUS Magazine, presents a review of all the programs and activities during the preceding year, and includes articles, mainly from members of ASGC, on subjects of interest and value to the Sri Lankan community in general, and to the youth and graduates in particular.

The fact that the FOCUS newsletter is not only a medium of keeping members and public informed of activities, programs and events of ASGC but also is a vehicle, aimed at promoting creative thinking and writing abilities of all the members on subjects of interest to the Sri Lankan community, needs to be stressed. ASGC is committed to improving and expanding its services including the scope and content of its Newsletter.  All the members are welcome to share their academic prowess, professional expertise and creative ideas.
